Zodiac Pool Systems Expands Annual Promotional Events with Bigger Advertising Push, Dealer Discounts, and Marketing Tools to Support Retailers

Zodiac and Polaris Days include new print, web and social media marketing, and mobile advertising efforts

SAN DIEGO – April 9, 2014 – Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. has expanded its annual dealer promotional event support after significant success in 2013. The Zodiac® Days and Polaris® Days events include the company's popular "Get Rewarded" tiered rebate program for consumers who purchase Zodiac or Polaris brand pool cleaners, and Zodiac has dramatically enhanced marketing efforts with both nationwide and localized promotions to help retailers drive traffic to the in-store events. Advertising support includes postcard campaigns, easy social media sharing tools, video widgets, mobile ads, and prominent listings on Zodiac and Polaris "Find an Event" Web pages.

Local dealers are encouraged to run up to two Zodiac or Polaris Days per year, for up to four days each event. Zodiac will support the events with press releases, extensive online advertising expected to garner more than 20 million Web impressions, special events Web pages, customizable targeted advertising for local markets, free giveaways, in-store merchandising, and an optional special rebate code that allows participating dealers to offer an additional 10 percent off LAAP to consumers who purchase cleaners during the events. Those consumers can still receive the full rebate amount. To qualify for the 10 percent discount, dealers must opt-in to the program by purchasing a minimum of eight qualifying cleaners to sell during the events. Qualified cleaners include suction, pressure and robotic models. Interested dealers can learn more from their Zodiac representative.

Zodiac will supply dealers with a merchandising kit that includes brochures, window posters, tent cards, yard signs, balloons, branded T-shirts and buttons, as well as beach balls, pens and koozies as giveaway items. Participating dealers are also eligible to receive free premium product displays (while supplies last).

After its successful 2013 run, the "Get Rewarded" consumer tiered rebate program continues in 2014. The tiered structure provides incentive for consumers to buy best-selling cleaners because higher net prices paid for cleaners earn larger rebates. The savings can be even greater during Zodiac Days and Polaris Days if consumers purchase their cleaners from retailers offering the additional 10 percent rebate.
